Scoping The Dream

Unleash Creativity

You started with “Can I make my AI tracks better?”, and you came here.

If you used our tools, fed them into a song generator, and suddenly the music coming back sounds better, that “WOW” moment feels amazing. And that's SongSyntax's mission

Soon you’ll probably start asking yourself "What can I do with this"?

  • Could I get it online...on Spotify or other platforms?
  • Can I make money out of it?
  • Could I make a video for it?
  • Is this my next job?

All of these are fantastic questions and possible next steps.  And for your own private use, the possibilities are basically unlimited.

But first, have fun making great music!  Learn what you don't know you don't know.  Get even better.  Learn the art as well as the tools.

Music Reality

Two quick realities to keep in mind (so the fun stays fun):

  1. AI music is exploding online. Tens of thousands of new tracks appear every day. Because of the sheer volume, a lot of AI music gets quickly labeled “slop” — often for no reason other than the flood of new content and some professional musicians protecting their space.  Not every track deserves that label, but it’s the current reality.
  2. Making money is still a grey area.  Copyright, ownership, and platform rules around AI-generated music are not fully settled yet. If you want to monetize (streaming, licensing, selling, etc.), move forward with care and check the latest rules for whichever platforms you’re using.

Stay Focused

Knowing exactly what you want and what you’re trying to do with these songs will help you focus your time, effort - and money. It keeps you enjoying AI music instead of getting caught up in endless generation and chasing perfect outputs or unrealistic dreams!

Pause & Reflect

Take a quick breath before you rush into the next big idea. Ask yourself: “What am I really trying and able to do?”  Then go have fun with music — on your terms.

Thinking About Releasing Publicly?

If you are making AI music for fun, learning, private use, family projects, experiments, or personal creativity, keep going. You do not need to turn every good result into a public release.

But if you are thinking about putting AI-assisted or AI-generated music online under an artist name, sending it to Spotify or other streaming platforms, monetizing it, making videos, licensing it, or building a catalogue, slow down first.

Distribution is easy. That does not mean every track is ready.

Before you upload, ask:

- What did the AI actually generate?
- What did I write, edit, choose, arrange, or improve?
- Does this track sound release-ready, or just “good for AI”?
- Are the lyrics, vocals, ending, mix, and structure strong enough to represent me?
- Does the voice, style, title, or artwork risk confusing people with a real artist or brand?
- Have I saved my lyrics, prompt notes, versions, edits, artwork sources, and rights notes?
- Do I understand the rules for the platform or distributor I want to use?
- Would I still want this attached to my artist name six months from now?

Generic upload guides can help with the buttons. But AI music needs a reality check before the upload begins.

See below for more guidance - A practical guide to what generic distribution guides miss before you release AI-generated or AI-assisted music publicly.
